Take Care Against Eating Too Much (食べすぎにご用心, Tabesugi ni Goyoujin) is the 7th episode of the Wedding Peach anime that aired in Japan on May 17, 1995.
Plot[]
At Saint Hanazano Junior High, Momoko, Yuri, and Hinagiku are conducting a survey on what kind of girls boys like. They ask a couple of boys what kinds of girls they find attractive. They describe many characteristics, mentioning that they like girls that aren't fat, which soon makes the three bothered by their comments. Yousuke walks over and interrupts their news story, stating a guy can like a girl more than just their looks, surprising Momoko. He then takes Momoko’s notebook and rips the pages out, angering the girls.
The girls go back to the office and after analyze their results, they find that most of the boys would want to date skinny girls, making Momoko and Hinagiku uncomfortable about their weight while Yuri brags about her figure. More data comes in finding the person that most closely matches the results to be Yukiko Kawai.
The girls go watch Yukiko jump over a bar as her boyfriend, Takashi Yamamoto, cheers her on. The three go ask Takashi what he finds attractive about Yukiko, to which he talks about her impressive jumps due to having a slim body. Takashi is then seen walking Yukiko home and waves goodbye as the girls follow them in secret. They discover Yukiko’s family to own a popular rice shop, mentioning how Yukiko limits herself to how much she can eat to keep from gaining weight. Yuri then makes a pledge to keep her body in shape for Captain Yanagiba, with the other girls making the same promise. Yukiko is then seen waving goodbye again to Takashi from her upstairs window. Pluie is shown sensing the love wave of the couple and summons Omanma to ruin it.
At night, Momoko practices exercises to get in shape and impress Captain Yanagiba. Her dad walks in telling Momoko that dinner’s ready, but she refuses to eat. He tries telling Momoko that weight doesn’t determine beauty, to which she states he fell in love with her mother because of her slim body. While fantasizing about Sakura, he tells Momoko he fell for her heart. He is then kicked out of her room but reassures himself that she will give the routine up soon. Back at the rice shop, Omanma is seen spreading her negative energy on the bags of rice.
The next day, Momoko walks to school feeling very hungry to the point she hallucinates different objects as food. She falls over, but is caught by Yanagiba and checks to see if she’s okay. Yousuke appears, having guessed that Momoko was starving herself to lose weight and walks away with Yanagiba.
At the school, multiple students are gathered around together. Momoko goes to see the commotion and finds her friends staring at the now fat Yukiko, questioning if it’s even her. Takashi appears and tries to stop Yukiko from eating, but is pushed to the ground. Now disappointed, Takashi runs away and makes Yukiko upset. The girls ask why she can’t stop eating, to which Yukiko explains she got fat when she ate breakfast that morning and can’t stop the urge of eating. She then gets up and runs after Takashi.
After talking about the possible reasons for Yukiko's sudden weight gain, the three find many more girls to be fat as well, suspecting something isn’t right. It's then that Jama-P appears, explaining to the girls Omanma made the other girls fat by infecting the rice with the essence of fatness. Yuri and Hinagiku distrust him as they believe he could be still working with the devils. They make threats against him and soon Jama-P shouts at them in anger and flies away.
That night, Momoko discovers the correlation between the girls getting fat and living near Yukiko’s rice shop. She concludes Jama-P was telling the truth and goes to investigate. She sneaks into the shop and goes to search the rice by cutting it open. She then hears someone and hides. Yukiko, now possessed, spreads the essence of fatness onto the rice to make more girls get fat so their boyfriends won't love them. Momoko comes out to confront Yukiko and transforms into her wedding dress.
Peach avoids Yukiko's attack and is shocked to find a mouse get fat after being struck with the essence of fatness. While evading her attacks, Peach uses "Lovely Operation Tempete", showing Yukiko the memories of her relationship with Takashi. Omanma, overwhelmed by the love wave, comes out of Yukiko’s body and reveals herself. Pluie appears and instructing Omanma to destroy Wedding Peach. Omanma uses her top to attack Peach. Peach avoids the attacks and concludes that Jama-P was right after all. Omanma breaks a hole into the building and launches herself at Peach, knocking her down. Before the devils can finish Peach, Angels Lily and Daisy appear, who had a feeling Jama-P could’ve been telling the truth. Omanma uses her cutter against the three love angels, all of which avoid the attack and transform into the fighter angels.
Pluie escapes and Omanma tries to follow him, but trips over a rock and struggles to get up. Before Peach can defeat her, Jama-P shows up stopping the angels from killing Omanma. Peach reassures Jama-P that she’s only going to get rid of the evil from her heart, and uses her Bridal Flash to purify Omanma. She turns Omanma good and the purified devil flies away into the night sky. Yukiko turns back to normal, and the three celebrate their victory.
Jama-P asks the girls if he could be their ally, but is rejected by Lily and Daisy for still being untrustworthy of him. Jama-P understands and comes in terms with his awful deeds, mentioning how he has no place to go and how he's now learned what the love wave truly is. Peach goes to hold Jama-P and tells him everything is alright. Peach goes to comfort Jama-P as he cries in her arms.
The next morning, Yukiko walks to school, talking to her friends about turning back to normal. Takashi runs up to Yukiko, promising for the both of them to work hard in what they do. Momoko, Yuri, and Hinagiku watch as the two make up. Concerned, Momoko asks if Takashi would’ve broke up with Yukiko if she had stayed as fat as she was. Her friends respond by saying love would not be so fragile as to judge a girl based on their looks. Momoko thinks back happily at what Yousuke said a couple days before. The girls happily agree to throw away their survey on what boys like and soon catch Captain Yanagiba and the others playing soccer. They admire Yanagiba and despite saying they wouldn’t judge anyone based on their appearance, they agree that they just like wonderful boys.
